As Vice President of the Valley of the Sun chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, I find that most often the majority of the work that needs to be done for events falls squarely on the backs of the board of directors. Lucky for me, this meant that for the annual Freedom of Information Awards luncheon, I was able to use my design skills to craft an awards program with a “western” theme.
